Gosforth Decking
Foundations
A previous contractor had removed some planters and gravel from the area and then concreted posts in to the ground to support the deck. We then cut these to the required height to use as a sturdy foundation.
Completed Deck
Finished Deck spanning the full width of the garden and following the line of the rear boundary fence. Finished in standard timber deck panels with a border feature to the rear.
Step
The step show is quite large for children and they inevitably stand on the door sill when using the door. To prolong the life of the sill a step is required to ease the transition but to also support the weakened sill.
Completed Step
The step was made to gently support the underside of the door sill and to provide a larger area to walk on. Made from the same decking to match and including the border feature with mitred corners for a seamless finish.
